The Messaging Behind Our Latest Campaign
Big companies and advertisers profit from destroying our communities.
Popular culture is reduced to acting like court jesters. Watch any reality show or most of the content on social media targeted at young people, the most depraved behavior is glamorized. Advertisers love it because people that watch this insulting trash are known to spend irresponsibly on beauty related consumer goods. It starts a destructive cycle of showcasing worse and worse mindless content to attract (and create) easily influenced consumers. Young people watch what was initially viewed as disgusting behavior and it becomes common place, then idolized.
There’s a fading concept called class, and even more fundamental... morality.
Campaign: Student Love
When I was a child I watched my mom clean homes and hotels for a living. It is hard work and it helped pay the bills. It taught me the a lot.
However I’ve since developed a healthy distain for the perception that women are “better suited” for certain types of work. There are woman who have worked hard and smart, and offer remarkable examples of a woman’s worth. There needs to be a much bigger light on accomplished women. Women who learned their craft, took risks, stayed focused, invested and did what they do better than anyone else. Oprah, Indra Noovi, Bozoma Saint John... #myidols
The world is slowly coming to terms with the fact that anyone can be anything, but most content in realtity shows still don't portray womens potential.
Campaign: We’re hiring!
Young women are taught their personal value is dependent on their sexual attraction. Retail marketers are obsessed with telling women they aren’t good enough without <insert product name >. There is no mainstream emphasis on education, work ethic, or anything genuine.
Breasts and backsides are valued over degrees, careers and even health.
Women in America spend on average twelve times more on cosmetics and cosmetic surgery than education.
It is a pathological issue of insecurity. The simple fix is understanding the authentic version of anyone is always the most attractive. And a little hard work goes a long way.
Fix: Love & Attention
